(English) How to log in to an account in Russia: requirements and authentication methods

:cookie: We use cookies and respect your right to privacy.

:russia: Users from the Russian Federation:

In accordance with Russian legislation (draft law dated 14.11.2025), account access on the territory of the Russian Federation requires unambiguous identification — via a Russian mobile number, Gosuslugi (State Services), or an equivalent Russian authentication service.

:white_check_mark: You may use any email as a login if it is either verified via Gosuslugi, linked to a Gosuslugi-verified phone number, or used for authentication in a Russian identity service (e.g., VK, Mail.ru, Yandex, bank IDs, etc.).

:warning: Sign-in via Google, GitHub, Apple ID, and other foreign authentication services is unavailable for users in the Russian Federation unless supplemented with Russian-based verification (e.g., SMS to a Russian number, email+SMS, or other locally compliant methods).

Users from other countries:

:white_check_mark: All login methods remain available — including Google, GitHub, and email registration — with no restrictions.

• Age restrictions (Russia only):
— 16+: registration permitted with verbal parental consent
— 14+: registration requires written parental consent (template)
— 0+: reading and listening without registration allowed

:locked_with_key: You may change your login method anytime in account settings.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: By continuing to use the site, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms, including personal data transfer.
